These are a couple of art tiles that Sketchmaiden painted back during the fall. She gave them to ME!!! Some of you may remember them from Flickr and from LJ too. I fell in love with them from the moment I saw them. They are just so whimsical and fun. Sketchy, they are going to hang in my foyer. Thanks again!!! They are beautiful! ^_^ Love you!

OK , so I'm standing in my kitchen tonight and Will comes bouncing in and says,  "Mom, you want to hear two really good pick-up lines?"  I said smiling but somewhat confused, "What?"  He said, "you know Mom. pickup lines!"  I'm thinking what on earth does my 10 year old know about a pickup lines or what they mean.  I said, "sure, let's hear 'em."   So he proudly shared them.
#1.  He said " Is it getting hot in here or is it just you, baby ?
#2.  Do you have a map, cause I'm lost in your eyes?

After, much laughter, I'm thinking the teenage years are going to be real interesting around here!
And my next thought was God!!! am I raising a "little lounge lizard??!!! Na, just kidding but it was a shocker to hear.  He's quite the comic.  Heres a pic.

As Assigned From: pouncing tiger
Here are 10 things that start with the letter "C" that I love.   I should say that when I received this letter assignment my mind went directly into the gutter but with much strength I pulled myself from that place.  ; )....Hope your not too disappointed.  Here goes:

1.) Cardiologist................Yep, that's right.   Not only do I love cardiac nursing, but I love a cardiologist too!  So much so I married him.  He was so damn fun and let's face it.......smart men just DO IT for me!
2.) Children.......................Kids and old people, they are my weakness.  I love them and want to take care of all of them.  In fact, I like them better than the people my own age.  Always have.  I'm not sure what that says about  me but.........I hope whoever takes care of me when I'm old feels the same way.
3.) Collies.........................Well you know that story right? no? I always wanted one, now I have two.  They are driving me crazy!  I spend WAY too much time taking care of them but they are very special to me and my family.  I'll have to post our Christmas card pic.....yeah you'll have to suffer through my obsession with them like everyone else . he,he...
4.)Chardonnay.................I love a good glass of wine.  My husband is what I refer to as a "wine-snot".  He collects, I drink......  Just kidding. No really though I do enjoy a glass or two of wine at bedtime once in a while (ie. "good buzz")  Sooooo, if you are looking for a reasonably priced white wine and you like "fruit bombs" Kendall Jackson makes a very nice Chardonnay.
5.)Catamaran Sailing in Mexico................. a ride on the wild side.....Went on a day cruise, you know, a cruise within a cruise kinda deal.  I drank WAY TOO MUCH tequila ( I now refer to it as to-kill-ya) and did the "macarena" with about 20 other 'drunker- than- skunk' folks on the upper deck of the catamaran but..............I  "lost" my bikini top while dancing, and in my "state"  decided to continue with the dance!  I guess I was thinking,  it would have been rude to leave the group?..., I was one of the lead dancers at this piont in the cruise?...., had I walked off the platform others would have surely lost their places?.....  Anyway, I stayed and saw the routine to its completion.  There was MUCH applause afterward and all wore big smiles especially my then boyfriend and now husband...........Funny how that all worked out huh?................;-)   "Hey! Macarena, Ay' Ey'.........
6.) Cappuccino............I love 'em creamy and sweet.
7.) Cannon...................I love my camera.  It's my new hobby and boy did I need one.  Ask anyone who knows me, don't stand too close to me........I will take your  picture and load it on flickr!
8.)Cheese....................Food of the Gods!  There's really nothing else to say about that.   Love it!!!
9.) Challenge..............Give me difficult task,  test me, bring it on baby!!! I love it!  DON'T tell me I cant do something.........................  I've always been that way.  I adore a challenge.  I have a 10 year old just like me. Scary!
10.) Christ...................I love God.  I pray more the older I get.  It's gotten easier with age?  go figure......

Just Chillin'

ME!

Good Morning!!!!  Hope everyone had a great weekend!  Boy it's gotten cold down here!  BURRRRRR!  31 degrees!  Go ahead, laugh if you must.  But these southern bones are not equipped for such chilly weather.  I prefer 60's and 70's. lol!
Anyway, both of our puppies (they will be a year old this weekend) have developed quite an affinity for our couch.  I walked into the den last-night and Holly had made herself very comfortable and had incorporated the pillows into her "nest".  Too cute, huh??!
Will is out of school all week which is great!  The week is planned.  Monday and Tuesday it's his agenda, I'm just along for the ride.  Wednesday, he has to CLEAN his room!  Yes, that is an all day event.  I would take a picture but it's too horrible for public viewing.  Thursday is a family reunion.  Friday is Thanksgiving at my mothers.  Saturday is Thanksgiving at David's mother's house. Whew! ..............Sunday is "go no-where" day!!  I will hide the weight scales Saturday night so we can continue to enjoy all the delicious leftovers, throughout the day on Sunday, like a couple of overstuffed couch potato Collies (get the picture, lol) without any guilt!  It's gonna be a good week!

If I don't get a chance to say it again ...............Have a Wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!

Let's try this one more time!!!

Heading South!

ME!
Good morning!  We are going to the beach for the weekend!!  Yippy!   A friend has a house in Seaside, Florida so we are going to drive down this afternoon.   It's a 5 hour trip, not too bad.   We have bravely (or stupidly, whichever way you'd like to look at that, my husband and I have different opinions) decided to bring along our collies, Holly and Molly.  This will be their first trip.  Will is very excited!  Will and I envision them running along the beach, digging in the sand having a wonderful time.  All of us, just enjoying the cool crisp weather.  David fears a different scenario but is going along  with my delusions like any good husband should.  God bless him, he always does.  =)   Anyway, I'll let you know how things turn out.  Wish us luck!  Ya'll have a great weekend !!  Nema.

David and I went to a "fancy-smancy shin-dig" last-night. A fundraiser for the state children's hospital. Great cause! It was a lot of fun......You go , you eat, you drink, you shop, you get to see lots of bad plastic surgery on display(David says it wasn't all bad), you see lots of people that would drown if it were to suddenly began to rain, this is no exaggeration in the south, they are that "self-important", needless to say we had a great time, except for one tiny detail......MY SHOES! I was in a great pair of HEELS!!! I can barely walk this morning. Anyway, just wanted to share some pics of my guys. =) Y'all have a great day!

You Are An Elm Tree

You are easygoing and a pleasure to be around.
Good looking, you have a pleasant shape and tasteful clothes.
You demand little in others, but you tend not to forgive their mistakes.
Dominant, you like to lead and enjoy making decisions for others.
Overall, you are cheerful, honest, noble, generous, and funny.

This is a pic of my 10 year old son, Will. He chose a swamp creature as his costume this year. (If we lived closer to his Aunt, the artist, we could have just had her paint him as swamp creature, but Noooooo, lol) Cute, huh. Anyway, we decided to try and see what kind of reaction we would get from our girls (Holly and Molly, the collies)........it was disappointing and funny, they proved that collies really do love everybody! HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!

ME!

It was raining cats and dogs yesterday (barking dogs!). Windy and cold outside, my back hurt, I felt soooo blahhhh and to top it off, I had a headache. I was in such a BAD mood and couldn't figure out why, I mean I really didn't like anybody and for no good reason. Well, other than they were breathing. You know the feeling? Suddenly a sense of piece came over me, a little light bulb went off in my head, I thought.... "CAKE", "CHOCOLATE CAKE" !!!!! Yes! A chocolate cake! I went into my pantry, grabbed everything that was not good for me and fattening, then got my favorite cook book and made a anti-PMS cake! I call it the " Double Fudge Chocolate Coconut Cream Pudding Walnut Cake with Butter Cream Walnut Frosting". Just a little somethin' I whipped up. ;) Wish I could share it with all of you now. Well, what's left.... Sure made me feel better. I'm back to my normal self today, for what that's worth. :)
Note: This cake is best consumed in front of the TV, preferably in your bed, alone, watching (and crying to) "Pretty Woman."

HORMONES ARE EVIL, but make for very good cake. Nema.

All wrappped up!

Everyone I know is in a fuss to decorate their homes for Halloween and Fall.....so what could be better than to drive up into my parents driveway this morning and see this most beautiful spider and spider web! ... so I had to take some pictures of it. Turns out that the best picture has my Dad in it looking like the next meal! You can see the very large spider in the top right corner. Just wanted to share. Nema.
